FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where should we stay?
We encourage our guests to stay at Hotel Xcaret Mexico. We want our wedding celebration to be a vacation experience for everyone and we'd love to spend some time with you outside the Wedding Day, be that at the pool, by sharing a few meals and drinks together or on an excursion. We have set aside a block of discounted rooms (minimum 3-night stay) at this resort and we ask that you make your reservation through our travel coordinator MarieSam.

When should we arrive?
Our room block is available from March 20-23, 2026. And the Wedding Day is on March 22nd. The resort has so much to offer, we recommend that you arrive at least 1 or 2 days before the Wedding Day. For those who wish to stay longer than March 23rd, the discounted room block rate can be extended for a select number of rooms beyond March 23rd on a first come first serve basis.

Are kids invited to the Wedding?
No, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration.

However, children are welcome to attend our welcome party, casual meet up at one of the Xcaret parks, and farewell brunch. Please feel free to bring your children to enjoy the resort -- we want our guests to make the best of their vacation and enjoy their time away. If you need to make babysitting arrangements for the Wedding Day, click here for info on the professional babysitting service contracted by the hotel.

What should I wear to the Wedding?

Formal: suits and formal dresses

Floor-length gowns or sophisticated dresses below the knee are perfect. Bright colors, florals, beading, and sparkle are all warmly welcomed—yes, even red! —embrace the vibrancy of Mexico! Please avoid white, which is reserved for the bride.

A classic suit and tie is perfect. Lightweight fabrics are ideal for the climate. Neutral or seasonal tones are great options, but darker tones are also welcome.

Let your look reflect the joy of the occasion—chic, polished, and party-ready!

Dress pants and a button-down shirt are perfectly appropriate—no suit jacket or tie required. However, blazers, sport coats, or ties are more than welcome if you'd like to elevate your look. Think polished, not overly formal.

Bright colors are warmly welcomed—Have fun with colors, textures, and accessories—just keep it chic!

Casual Attire

Lightweight fabrics like linen or cotton are great for the tropical weather. Chinos, shorts, or swim trunks with a shirt work well. No need for a tie or jacket. Sandals, slides, or water-friendly shoes are ideal—especially if you plan to get wet!

Comfort and keeping cool is key, especially with water activities nearby. Breezy sundresses, rompers, shorts, swimsuits with cute cover-ups, or casual separates are all great options. Opt for sneakers, sandals or flats that can handle getting wet—skip the heels for this one.

Lightweight fabrics will help you beat the heat and stay comfortable.

What is the weather like? What should we pack?
Playa del Carmen, Mexico is typically warm and humid -- temperatures are usually in the 80s to 90s. We recommend bringing light summer clothing and swimsuits.
